You guys, I am so boring. Work and hockey. That’s my life. Ha, ha!
At work we’re gearing up for our big holiday season launch (just like most retail establishments our biggest, most important quarter is Q4) so I’ve been working like a mad woman. It’s pretty much non-stop all day at work. Little things that are part of larger things are constantly popping up, leaving me little time to actually churn out the content I’m responsible for. I’ve been getting some much-needed help from some of the other women on my team, but I am an admitted control freak, and have a hard time not just doing everything myself. I am trying, though! But, the good part is I’ve been loving all the work I have been doing and loving the responsibility I’ve been given for this programme and I very much prefer being busy to the alternative, so it’s great, even though I’m sort of burnt out. But, I’ve been at Kaboodle for three holiday seasons now, so none of this is unexpected. Still tiring, though!
As you could probably tell from the picture of me and Sharkie, hockey season started! Oh, yeah! My team is a little different than it was last season and I’m not thrilled with all the moves, but what can you do. Dany Heatley isn’t exactly my favourite player, but if he scores 50+ goals this season, I may change my tune. I especially hate to see Michalek and Cheechoo with Ottawa (they left in the Heatley trade), because the Senators are my most-hated team in the entire NHL (and lord knows you grow to hate every team eventually). The whole taking the C from Marleau doesn’t sit well with me either, but I’m glad it went to Blake if it had to go to someone new. Does anyone even know what the hell I’m talking about?! Ha, ha!
Yup, work and hockey. That’s my life right now.
ETA: You can tell I’m tired because this post is random and rambling and reads like it was written by a fourteen-year-old. Dear Diary, Work is hard and I heart hockey!
